Though there won't be product you can hold in your hand(s) until September, reliably sourced details about the Galaxy Note 4 have already begun to surface

The 2014 revision of Samsung’s ultimate phablet is coming. Though there won’t be product you can hold in your hand(s) until September, reliably sourced details about the Galaxy Note 4 have already begun to surface.

Look for Samsung to introduce the Galaxy Note 4 on Wednesday, September 3 and ship the product two to four weeks later.

The Galaxy S5’s display measures 5.1 inches, which is just 0.2 of an inch smaller than the original Galaxy Note of 2011. Yep, yesterday’s phablet is today’s “phone.”

That said, are you ready for the 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440) Galaxy Note 4? Actually, by the time it arrives, these “new” features will probably already seem, dare we say it, boring.

For example, on the hardware side look for a Snapdragon 805 system on chip paired with 3GB of RAM.

That is, the Galaxy Note 4’s hot new features are pretty much all borrowed from the Galaxy S5 and/or competing products, like the HTC One M8 and Apple’s iOS 7.

Galaxy Note 4 Cast?

An unnamed source that spoke with Sam Mobile claims that the Galaxy Note 4 will feature “swipe to launch” (via HTC One M8 Motion Launcher), Multi Network Booster (via iOS 7) and Smart Fingerprint (via Galaxy S5).

So, the Galaxy Note 4 will be one big rip off of other people’s ideas? Meh, seven years after the original iPhone launched, truly new ideas and innovation are hard to come by.

Further, at this late stage in the game, most people’s minds are already made up and, remaining competitive, largely comes down Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft et al cherry picking and incorporating the best features from the competition…

Liking the Galaxy Note 4? Hoping for more?
