On the surface, iLoot Jewels is quite similar to games like Bejeweled or Candy Crush. The mechanics are very similar. Players must match colored gems, detonate them, and wander the Earth in search of the missing crown jewels. You’ll need to travel to every continent to liberate the stolen gems and add them to your collection.
Where iLoot Jewels differs from the competition is its 3D spinning puzzle format. While I did wish that the game board could be fully manipulated in all directions, the side-to-side scrolling is still very satisfying. There’s a brain-bending quality to the gameplay that comes from working in 3D instead of 2D.
While the graphics may seem a little dated or retro to some players, the visual aspects of this game do little to negatively impact game play. The graphics may not be as lush or crisp as some iOS gamers have come to expect, but the puzzles themselves are still deeply gratifying.
You’ll travel the globe in search of jewels, starting in Africa. From there, the level of difficulty increases. You’ll visit South America, then Australia. After that, it’s Asia, Europe, and finally North America. Might we hope for an Antarctica in the future?
Because of its addictive gameplay and globe-trotting style, this game has immense replay value. Plus, there are over 100 levels to enjoy, which is sure to keep you entertained for hours!
If you love Bejeweled but want an experience that’s a little more tricky, this is definitely the game for you.
