Shuffler Game iPhone Game Review: Fun and Addictive
Here’s the deal: Shuffler Game is a fairly straightforward 3D puzzle game. Inspired by those classic “sliding tile” puzzles where you need to build a picture or get all of the numbers in order, Shuffler is basically the same sort of game. Except for this: unlike the real puzzles, you can’t cheat by popping out those little plastic tiles and moving them around!
I loved those little plastic tile puzzles as a kid. They always seemed to pop up at dollar stores or in pinatas, or as party favors at birthday parties. Shuffler takes a classic game, and makes it more fun.
In this shuffler game, you have a variety of puzzles to choose from. Each puzzle differs in terms os size and/or movement rules. Some levels even boast obstacles. With 101 levels altogether, there’s a lot here to keep you interested.
Shuffler lets you use a random array of numbers to cover your puzzle tiles, or use one of 10 high-res images. The best part of this game, in my opinion, is the autosave. I’m so sick of games with faulty saving protocols, so it’s nice that this game lets you autosave a game and return to it at a later date. The UI is solid, the controls are responsive, and the puzzles are great!
If you’re the kind of casual gamer who loves a bit of competition, there’s a robust ranking system in place here in Shuffler Game. An online high scoreboard shows you where you stand versus players from around the globe, while the very best players get showcased on a Hall of Fame screen.
Shuffler Game is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
