Survival Race iPhone Game Review: An Awesome Driving Game

Survival Race – Life or Power Plants is an iPhone game developed by Wixel Studios Offshore. Featuring 4 vehicles and 64 exciting tracks, Survival Race pits human drivers against bloodthirsty, carnivorous plants in a futuristic landscape.
Did you ever see that M. Night Shyamalan movie where plants turned against humanity? There’s something similar going on in the world of Survival Race. The game takes place in an era where Global Warming has become a major issue, and plants are striking back against humanity as a result.
The opening of the game has some great comic book-style graphics that help to convey the story and build a great sense of tension. A driver and a botanist team up to battle their way past the plants as part of a plan to save themselves…and hopefully the world.
The controls are a bit tricky, though not as tricky as my beloved, recently-reviewed King of the Hill. However, like King of the Hill, Survival Race does have a bit of a learning curve to the controls, especially as the tracks get more complex. I like how tricky it is to blend speed and balance on this terrain: it makes the game challenging and addictive!
Adding to the fun (and the difficulty level) is the ability to pull stunts and flips with your tricked-out car. It’s hard, but really rewarding!
From the jungle to the desert, Survival Race is a truly exciting title. With great music, awesome graphics, and a great premise, this driving platformer is addictive fun!
Survival Race – Life or Power Plants is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.Google+
