Ease in installation: Firstly, when you purchase an antenna check how it should be installed. There are some which can be installed quickly without much setup whereas some setups are complicated. It is not necessary that bigger antennas have to be complicated in setup.
Antenna power: The antenna power can be quite misleading because the antennas are passive. They actually do not generate any power. It mostly refers to the antenna’s gain. This gain basically measures how much of the power of the transmitting antennas power would be received by your antenna. Note that, the higher gain would mean increase in the signal reception.
TV frequencies: The TV stations mostly broadcast two different frequencies. So as to get the best of all the channels, you should go in for a TV antenna that can pick up both UHF as well as VHF frequencies. The only case wherein you can select the antenna that can pick up single frequency is when you are well aware of the choice available in your area. Else in most of the cases a dual frequency antenna would work fine.
