Apple has announced and will soon ship the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iOS 7, which is great. However, that only gets us to half time and the second half of Tim Cook’s “busy Fall” — iPad, Mac and OS X Mavericks — remains unplayed. Though the product details are sketchy, we now have a date for Apple’s anticipated Fall Mac Event.

Yes, you can buy an iMac from the US online Apple Store and get it tomorrow. However, low stock levels at third-party resellers, especially overseas, have been reported.

Additionally, Apple’s in-beta desktop operating system rewrite, OS X Mavericks, is pretty much finished and the gold master could arrive any day now — maybe another beta seed, but maybe not.

And, who isn’t ready for a new iPad? The full-size iPad 5 is expected this Fall and it’s still an open question as to whether the long-anticipated iPad mini Retina will ship this year or in early 2014.

Regardless, there will be Macs and iPads — it’s time for the second half of Tim Cook’s “busy Fall.”

2013 Mac Event: Cirle the Date

French Apple fan site MacGeneration doesn’t have any new iPad or Haswell Mac product details but does have a date for the 2013 Mac Event — Tuesday, October 15

A Tuesday in mid-October, sounds about right to me. Now just need a simple “yep” or “nope” from Jim Dalrymple…

What’s your take?
