Even though stimulants can be effective for helping you increase your productivity, it can be dangerous for you to use them. There are short-term and long-term side effects that you will have to look out for. Short-term side effects may include improved attention, easier breathing and improved self-esteem. Those side effects may seem like they are good, but they can damage your health over time.
The stimulants can increase your blood pressure, heart rate and cause muscle tremors. They can also cause you to become more agitated. That is why even if you use stimulants for a short amount of time, you can still do serious damage to your health. Long-term effects can cause the following.

Learn to say No
You should not feel obligated to say yes to everything that your boss asks you to do. A reasonable supervisor will understand that you may have too much on your plate. Supervisors do not like their employees being overworked because this can lead to mistakes and sloppy work.
Ask for an Extension
If you are feeling the pressure of an approaching deadline, then you should ask for an extension. Explain that you are feeling overwhelmed and need more time. You should also apologize if extending the deadline will cause an inconvenience.
Delegate the Tasks
If you feel like you have too many responsibilities, then you should ask your employer if the tasks can be delegated to your co-workers. Many people are more willing to lend a helping hand. You should tell that you will cover them if they ever need to have your help.
Work is important, but it is not important enough for you to put your physical and mental health in jeopardy. There are deadlines. There are things that you will have to do. There will be times when everyone has to put in a lot of effort. However, everyone has to recognize that there are limits.
You do not want to take stimulants. You also want to make sure that you give yourself time to rest.
