Getting your iPLAY account set up is the easy part. But there’s a heap of features on the platform that a lot of players don’t use straight away – and some that are genuinely worth knowing about if you play regularly.
Whether you’re picking numbers on your lunch break in Morgantown or checking results from the couch, West Virginia Lottery’s iPLAY has more going on than most new players realize. Here’s what’s worth paying attention to.
Multi Draw saves you logging in every time
Contents
If you play the same draw game regularly, Multi Draw lets you enter multiple drawings in one go. Instead of purchasing a new ticket each time, you select how many draws you want to enter upfront, and it’s handled. Less back and forth, same play.
It’s available on draw games including POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, and LOTTO AMERICA©, and it’s one of the simpler ways to keep playing consistently without it becoming a chore.
Jackpot Threshold Auto Renewal plays for you when it counts
This feature is one of the more useful ones for players who track jackpot sizes. Jackpot Threshold Auto Renewal lets you set a jackpot amount for POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, or LOTTO AMERICA©. When the jackpot hits that number, tickets are purchased automatically.
It’s a subscription-based feature – a genuine “set it and forget it” option for players who only want in when the prize pool reaches a size that interests them. You stay in control of the threshold, so it only activates on your terms.
Your PlayON points add up faster than you might think
PlayON is the West Virginia Lottery’s loyalty program, and it works across both online and retail play. You earn points by scanning eligible tickets – physical ones from a retailer count too, not just games played on iPLAY. Those points can be entered into PlayON Reward draws, which are separate drawings where your points act as entries, or redeemed through the Rewards section of your account.
Points expire 13 months after they’re earned. Check your balance periodically so nothing goes to waste.
Deposit limits are there to use, not just to set up once
iPLAY includes player-controlled deposit limits, and they’re not just for new accounts. You can adjust them any time through your account settings as your circumstances change. If you want to tighten up your budget at any point, it takes a couple of steps and kicks in straight away.
The platform also has session timeouts and self-exclusion options if you need them. These tools are built into the account rather than buried in a help page.
iNSTANTS are worth exploring if you haven’t yet
If you’ve only played draw games on iPLAY, iNSTANTS are the other main game type on the platform. They’re digital instant games with varying price points and results are immediate. They’re only available through iPLAY and the app, not in-store.
The West Virginia Lottery’s online platform keeps adding new features and games. Most of them are aimed at giving players more control over how and when they play with tools such as deposit limits. Plus, new daily draw game Millionaire for Life™ launched in 2026. Available seven days a week, with a top prize of $1,000,000 a year for life. It’s available on iPLAY and at licensed WVL retailers.
