There are so many good characters you can experiment with in Genshin Impact. Many players would play for Furina or Nahida since those are the metas. But how about Yoimiya? She’s also a good option for those who want to have a character that focuses on DPS for a single enemy. This guide talks about Genshin Impact Yomiya, including her skills, best builds, best weapons, and recommended team composition.

Genshin Impact Yomiya: An Overview

For those who are unfamiliar with Yomiya, she’s a character who mainly uses a bow to deal serious damage to enemies. She’s great for her high DPS since the bow basically has a higher attack speed. FYI: If you want to build your character and perform better in the battleground, topping up Genshin Impact is the quickest and easiest way.

In the game, she’s a B-rated character with ★★★★★ rarity, and her element is Pyro. She’s voiced by Jenny Yokobori for the English dub and Ueda Kana for the Japanese. Since she focuses on a single enemy, Yoimiya is best when used against bosses that have a higher health pool. She’s also great when you’re fighting Elite enemies due to her more focused damage.

Attacking with a bow, Yoimiya is also very versatile. If you’re afraid of losing, she’s probably a good pick since you can basically deal some damage from afar. When unleashed, her charging attack becomes homing.

Since she focuses on a single enemy, Yoimiya isn’t that great for facing multiple enemies at once. With only a bow, Yoimiya can be easily overwhelmed by a horde of enemies. For attacking, she has to be stationary, or her combo will be broken with a dodge. Without constellations, ATK buffs, and Elemental Burst won’t be applied to her.

Yoimiya Best Builds

The best Yoimiya builds mainly focus on increasing her DPS. Below are the recommended builds for Genshin Impact Yoimiya:

Main Attack DPS Build

As the name tells you, this build focuses on increasing the damage of her main attack. However, this build does come with a cost of not being able to use the Elemental Burst. If that’s not an issue, then the build is highly recommended.

What you’ll need for this build is Thundering Pulse as the main weapon with Polar Star, Aqua Simulacra, and Rust as replacements. The artifacts for this build are Shimenawa’s Reminiscence x4. To increase her offensive stats, you will need ATK% for Sands, Pyro Damage bonus for Goblet, and Crit DMG for Circlet.

Pyro Reaction

This build may be less strong than Shimenawa’s, but it’s still effective for dealing elemental damage, especially when you pair Yoimiya with the Vaporize team composition. The weapon set for this build is the same as above. However, you’ll have to replace the artifacts for Crimson Witch of Flames x4.

This one increases Burgeon, Overloaded, and Burning DMG by 40% and Melt & Vaporize DMG by 15%. When using Elemental Skill, it increases Pyro DMG by 65% for 10 seconds. It stacks three times.

Talent Priority

No matter what your build is, you will still depend on the normal attack to deal damage to the enemies. Therefore, it’s ideal to put the first priority on Normal Attack, followed by Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill.

Best Artifacts for Yoimiya

Based on the builds we’ve mentioned above, it’s pretty clear what the best artifacts are for Yoimiya. Ranking as the first is Shimenawa’s Reminiscence x4, an artifact that can increase ATK for 18% (2 pcs) & increase Normal, charge, and plunging attack for 50% (4 pcs) for 10 seconds, although it depletes 15 Energy if the character has 15 Energy or more.

The second-best artifact is Crimson Witch of Flames, which can increase the Pyro and Burning DMG dramatically. As alternatives, you can use 2 pieces of both artifacts, granting you both ATK buff and Elemental buff at the same time.

The Best Weapons for Yoimiya

For the weapon, we want to pick a bow that can deal the highest damage, which is none other than the Thundering Pulse. It has 608 base ATK, increases CRIT DMG by 66.2%, and increases ATK by 20% while applying Thunder Emblem.

On top of that, the effect also stacks. When it stacks, the Normal Attack damage increases by 12/24/40%. It’s a really good weapon for Yoimiya. However, you can still use other good weapons, such as Aqua Simulacra and Rust.

Best Team Composition for Yoimiya

On the field, Yoimiya will be your main attacker who can deal consistent damage from afar. So, what you will need here are the Sub-DPS characters that can apply strong elemental application.

Reverse-Vaporize Team

Since Yoimiya’s element is Pyro, you need additional Hydro characters to consistently deal Vaporize shots. As the sole damage dealer, Yoimiya may gain advantage from both buffs and defensive options.

For this team, you can use Xingqiu for Sub-DPS, Bennett for Support, and Yun Jin for support. For Sub-DPS, you may replace Xingqiu with other Hydro characters, like Yelan. You may change the supports, too, because there are some decent options out there, like Zhongli, Furina, Lan Yan, and Dahlia.

Overloaded Team

As the name tells you, this team composition will focus on dealing damage via Overloaded status. You will need to put Chevreuse, this is mandatory, Yae Miko as Sub-DPS, and Fischl as second sub-DPS. You can also switch a character with Bennett to apply additional buffs to Yoimiya.

Melt Team

Now, we focus on the Melt status. For this, you can combine Yomiya as the main DPS with some Cyro characters, like Rosaria for Sub-DPS, and Citlali as support. For the second Sub-DPS or Support, we highly recommend using Bennett, which is applicable for both roles.

Conclusion

Nothing to be said about Yoimiya except that she’s a versatile and flexible character. You can basically use her as the main DPS for any team composition. But, she’s even better when placed in a team composition that focuses on Melt and Overloaded. If you’re planning to main her, we highly recommend collecting the weapon and artifacts first since these are basically essential for her build.
