Get Up To Some 17+ Mischief in Autopilot Game for iPhone

Autopilot iPhone Game Review

Price: Free     Score: 8/10     Category: Games

Autopilot Game, developed by Graphicson.com, is a 17+ game for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. You play Bob, a man who’s decided to forget about his hard day by having a few drinks on the way home…a decision that doesn’t exactly please his harridan of a wife.

You might remember Dosware’s distinctive look from our past review of one of their other titles, Quick Bob. Funny enough, Autopilot Game also stars a main character named Bob. That’s no coincidence: the two Bobs are one and the same, looking at their character design.

As I wrote in my review of Quick Bob, while the game comes off as an excuse for infantile, boob-obsessed visuals at first, thanks to the various levels of difficulty, you can actually get quite a challenging gameplay experience on some of the higher settings.

As in Quick Bob, the Bob of Autopilot Game is constantly drinking and constantly in trouble with his missus. And like Quick Bob before it, Autopilot Game offers a surprising amount of challenging fun. For example, as Bob drinks more beer, he gets drunk. On the control end, that means that drunk Bob is harder to control the more he drinks, which is a pretty cool feature when you think about it.

Tilting the phone to the left or right controls your movement down the street, with obstacles including police officers, and bonuses taking the form of glasses of beer or gifts you can bring home to placate your wife.

Ultimately, I feel Autopilot Game and Quick Bob are two sides of the same gaming coin. If you love iPhone games with cartoony graphics and amusing gameplay, you might just enjoy this welcome departure from the usual family-friendly fare that dominates the App Store.

Autopilot Game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later. You must be at least 17 years old to download this app. Autopilot Game features: Frequent/Intense Alcohol, Tobacco, or Drug Use or References.
