iGameHunter: A Valuable Outdoorsman’s Asset

iGameHunter iPhone App Review

Price: $0.99     Score: 9/10     Category: Utilities

Both of my parents work for our state’s Fish and Game department, and our backyard at home is filled with archery targets, so it’s safe to say I know a lot about game hunting and fishing.

As someone raised in a household where we ate venison more often than beef or chicken, I can confidently say that iGameHunter is a killer app for any hunter or outdoorsman looking to take their game into the 21st century. Even hunters who prefer the traditional, no-frills, no electronic gear approach to the hunt will be tempted by all that this app has to offer.

Developer At-Scene calls their iGameHunter app “The ultimate mobile app for outdoor enthusiasts.” That’s setting the bar pretty high for oneself, but they do not disappoint with their minimalist app.

Stripped down and bare bones in the best possible way, iGameHunter is easy to navigate and has an interface that’s a breeze to utilize for any hunter, hiker, fisherman, or camper. There’s social media integration if you want to share your favorite spots with friends, and GPS to locate your favorite spots and locations instantly with the Google satellite map feature.

It’s easy to start a new excursion, upload photos or video, or update your field journal with notes about your trip. But what we love is the smart choice to put the FAQ right on the homescreen, and how easy it is to navigate it. It makes getting started so, so simple. And that level of user-friendliness really makes the app a joy to use.

Bottom line: if you want a convenient way to keep track of your favorite outdoor hunting and fishing spots, the iGameHunter app is worth your 99 cents.

iGameHunter is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this iPhone app review.
