Sprint Galaxy Note 2 gets Android OS update… but still not Android 4.2

Sprint announced that their Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users are in store for an update. But if you were hoping that it would be the recently announced Android 4.2 (which is still called Jelly Bean, in case you weren’t aware), you’ll have to tone down your expectations a little more. The good news is that the update does fix some of the issues that Galaxy Note 2 users have reported and gives them access to one of the phablet’s most awesome features — multi-windows.

Released last November 7, the Sprint update for the Galaxy Note 2 will be labeled as version L900VPALJC. Here are the details:

Enhancements/Fixes

– GPS lock settings can be defaulted by corporate device administrators

– Emails go to Outbox when in no coverage area or airplane mode

– Text message notification will beep while in a voice call (Alerts on call set to On/Off)

– Multi Window View feature to run two apps on the screen at the same time
