Manage All Your Documents With PDF Connoisseur for iPhone

PDF Connoisseur iPhone App Review

Price: $9.99     Score: 9.5/10     Category: Business

PDF Connoisseur, developed by Kdan Mobile Software LTD, has a steep price tag, but is an insanely useful and powerful iPhone app that’s worth every penny of the purchase price.

If you own your own business or deal heavily in digital documents, having PDF Connoisseur in your pocket arsenal is certain to keep you focused and unfazed during even the biggest paperwork blizzards.

Think of it as a mobile work station: the iPhone app has is equal parts scanner, document reader, file converter, uploader and downloader. You can save to PDF, scan to PDF, file your various forms and contracts, and manage it all on your phone at blazing fast speed.

One of the best (and most responsive) features of PDF Connoisseur is the text-to-speech function. In addition to working great, accepting multiple foreign languages (six languages are currently supported: English, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean).

There’s a slide bar to adjust the text-to-speech speed, a thoughtful touch to an already stellar feature. And as for the built-in voice, it is clear as a bell and just as loud as advertised.

Making a document from scratch? It’s easy to passcode protect your work, or mark it up with stickies, underlining and highlighting. There’s also a free-writing feature to allow for hand signing of documents.

ZIP/RAR files can also be opened and played with as well, making it easy to deal with compressed files. But perhaps the more impressive thing is that PDF Connoisseur supports file sharing through a whole host of sites, including iDisk, Dropbox, GoogleDocs, Box.net, and SugarSync.

For such a powerful app, the user interface is nice and clean, easy to navigate, and as a whole, the iPhone app runs very smoothly. If you need access to files and PDFs on the go, there’s not a more seamless or powerful app out there.

PDF Connoisseur is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.2 or later.
