5 Things to Observe After You’ve Moved to a New House

It’s tempting to just plop down on the bed or the couch after a tiring move to a new house. However, there are some things you need to do so you and your loved ones are safe and secure. Here are five things you should take note of after settling in.

Main Entrance

Take note of the main entrance and if it has an adequate door and lock. Using the keys, test it several times by locking and unlocking. Other entry points such as the garage or gate should be checked and tested as well.

Side or Back Exits

Condo units, townhouses, and apartments will usually have an emergency exit, and it’s your responsibility to locate and be familiar with it. In a standalone house, you can have several back or side exits that should be secured with locks. As an added measure, you can install CCTV cameras made for outdoor use for night and day monitoring.

Security and Locks

Check the knobs and locks to see if they’re functioning. Use the keys given or the right number combination, then close and open them. Replace rusted and broken ones as soon as you can so you won’t have a weak security spot in your condo or house.

Bathroom

The bathroom is an important part of a house or condo. Here, you should check the shower, the faucet, and plumbing to see if there’s anything you need to repair or replace.

Check Out the View

Lastly, it’s time to check out the breathtaking view from The Chuan Park condo and admire the surrounding scenery. Take a few pictures then show off your new house to friends on social media. Map out where the rest of your things and furniture go before unpacking your stuff.
