As soon as Back to the Future Ep 1 HD boots up, you are instantly transported back in time with that all too familiar theme tune and staring down the barrel of Doc Brown’s time machine. There’s even a bit of Huey Lewis thrown in for good measure!

This is Episode 1 is the first of a 5 part series with an all new story that is sure to capture gamer’s imaginations, whether they’re longtime BTTF fans or new arrivals to franchise. With voice talent provided by none other than the Doc ‘Christopher Lloyd’ himself & new talent ‘AJ LoCascio’ winning the role of Marty (Michael J Fox was unable to reprise the casino online role) with the best McFly impression you’re likely to hear, you can’t help but be drawn into this latest chapter of the saga.

The game itself is a highly enjoyable click and point adventure that utilizes the touch screen technology of the iPad perfectly. If I had to complain, it would be that Episode 1 doesn’t take long to complete & the ease of the game may get the goat of the more experienced players, but don’t distress, drawing from previous Telltale games titles, we are sure to see the game’s next installments step it up a notch to include a few more complex puzzles.

Although the iPad version of the game seems to suffer slightly with some frame rate issues, all in all, it takes nothing away from what is thus far probably one of the best games on the iPad to date! So for true fans of Back to the Future, this is a game you’ll genuinely adore… but more importantly, you”re kids are gonna love it!
