Using the Contactive Android app, you can unite contacts from across your phone and social media accounts to an address book that is being constantly updated in real-time, allowing you to identify callers before even answering your phone.

Currently, Contactive allows you to import contacts from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Gmail, Yelp, Google Places, White/Yellow Pages, and Contactive’s Global Directory.

Using Contactive is exceptionally easy. Upon opening the app, you can choose between logging in via Facebook, or by signing up with your email address. Once logged in, you can begin linking your various social media networks to the app, importing your contacts and connections in the process.

Build Your Advanced Address Book

Once you have added and linked up your various social media accounts, Contactive will automatically compile your new address book. You may then view your contacts in a list, view recent incoming and outgoing calls and even create custom lists to group your favorite people.

However, Contactive‘s best feature is the “Updates” screen. Contactive’s updates screen acts as a mini-social network within itself, offering you news from your contact’s latest Facebook updates, tweets, and so forth.

Essentially, as well as allowing you to identify callers quickly and easily, Contactive acts as a news aggregator for all of your social networks, bringing you updates from around your social circles to one, manageable screen.

Contactive Design and Interface

Contactive is easy to understand and set up, thanks to its user friendly menu system. Managing and creating your social network connections is simple and takes almost no time at all. Although, signing up with Facebook initially created a small error, which was thankfully easy to resolve.

The overall design on the app is simplistic, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Profile pictures are displayed well, and every area of the app responds brilliantly, whilst appearing highly polished.

Searching for friends and family is easy, and so is making calls. The keypad section also works well, making it a decent replacement for Android’s standard keypad interface. Calls are also displayed neatly, presenting the callers information.

Final Remarks

To conclude, Contactive is an easy to use, yet surprisingly powerful address book app, allowing excellent, meaningful links to social media, friends and family.

The app is extremely easy to use, with a quick and easy set up process. Contactive grows your contact list in real time, automatically updating as you make more friends on Facebook, or connections on LinkedIn. It is truly an address book like no other.
