Max & Ruby Science Educational Games is an iPhone app developed by iLearnWith. Based on the popular Max & Ruby animated series, this kid-friendly app is ideal for preschoolers and kindergarteners.

Bunny siblings Max and Ruby are hanging out at a fair, where they have all kinds of adventures that teach kids some very basic science. Using stories, music, and humor, Max and Ruby teach kids about the properties of liquid and the laws of motion.

Max & Ruby Science Educational Games is far from the first iLearnWith title we’ve reviewed here on Tapscape. Other past titles include I Learn with Boing: Ocean Adventures! and iLearn with Poko: Emotions, Feelings and Colors!, both of which we liked quite a bit. Max & Ruby Science Educational Games continues the tradition of colorful, accessible, and age-appropriate entertainment from this publisher.

Parents are probably asking what skills, exactly, this app helps to foster. There’s a fun Properties of Water game that challenges kids to connect pipes and move water. There’s also Ball-O-Rama!, which teaches about force and the laws of motion.

In addition to teaching some basic physical science concepts, this app also teaches observation and matching skills. Kids of this age learn through visual, hands-on experiences, and this app has clearly taken that into consideration.

If you have kids aged 3-6, they are likely to enjoy this charming educational app. Whether they like the Max & Ruby show or not, this app is sure to appeal to kids who are naturally curious about the world around them. It’s cute, charming, fun, and educational…what more could you want, really?

Max & Ruby Science Educational Games requires iOS 4.3 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
