I don’t know about you guys, but we’ve been lucky enough to have a couple of unseasonably warm days this April. With such lovely, sunny days, it seems like all I can think about lately is the beach. Of course, it’s way too cold to hit the beach this time of year…so the next best thing to the real beach is a 3D beach plastered across my monitor.
Sandy Beach 3D is great for monitors that have retina display capabilities. Plus, this app supports multi-monitor setups. With two or more monitors in your bay, your virtual beach will seem all the more inclusive.
This app does have some limitations you should know about before you fork over your hard-earned cash. Most importantly, the app will not play nice with a GMA 950 video card: (Mac Mini (2006, 2007), iMac (2006), and MacBook (2006, 2007) devices will not work with this.
Other features of Sandy Beach 3D include nice music, autostart at log in, and the fact that it will not prevent your computer from going to sleep when you have set up its sleep cycle parameters.
While I’ll always have a soft spot for the flying toaster screen savers from Windows 95, Sandy Beach 3D is a great way to perk up your cubicle and make your workspace a little bit more fun. If the answer to the question “Is it summer yet?” is still no in your area, Sandy Beach 3D can help soothe your stressed-out, work-obsessed mind.
