The Best Upcoming Games for Autumn 2020

There are many games that are scheduled to be released this autumn. Included are slot games for free, but so are console games, especially now that both Microsoft and Sony are going to release their new generation gaming consoles. Choose according to your console. Better yet, buy a new one so you can enjoy the exclusive releases during the rainy days.

Dragon Quest 11 S

Also called the Echoes of an Elusive Age, this release is for PC, and it is dubbed as the definitive edition. It is a role-playing game that comes from the studio of Square Enix. Dragon Quest has been around since 1986. In this edition, you take the mantle of a hero in an immersive story. The game is ripe with turn-based combat. Currently, the game is available only in Switch, but the December release will also be available on PC, PS4 and 3DS. Expect to find new story modes, a photo mode, and the ability to speed up battles.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2

If you loved Tetris in the ’80s, you would certainly feel the nostalgia once you get to play this version. It is a combination of the game Puyo Puyo, a puzzle game, and Tetris. Here, the main goal is to clear the playing screen and prevent blocks and symbols from overloading.

The game introduces new skill battles, item cards, and character-based skills. The new version also includes an online mode plus a chance to participate in in-game leagues. The game allows you to compete with up to a maximum of four players.

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend

Coming from Square Enix, this game should not be confused with Final Fantasy. Instead, it is a collection of three SaGa games. This is in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the game series. In the package, you will get SaGa, SaGa 2, and SaGa 3. This release is only available online. Here are some expected features:

  • Fast load and save functions
  • Speed boost for your characters
  • The screen can now be magnified
  • Has a Game Boy display mode
  • Music from the old initial game versions
  • Several in-game wallpapers

Note that the game is only available in Japanese and English.

Anno: Mutationem

Coming to PC and PS4, this is an action-adventure role-playing game. It fuses both 2D and 3D elements in a cyberpunk genre. What people would love about this game is its dark storyline. You can but the game on Steam, too.

In the game, you take control of the main character, whose name is Ann. She is a lone wolf fighting against enemies. The game is an open world, so you can go on exploring without following the main storyline. You can talk to NPCs and move around without feeling rushed to finish the story mode.

Hiro’s Escape

Also coming to Steam this December, this is a pixelated game that reminds you of Game Boy. The game does not come in 3D or 2D. Your goal here is to manipulate the AI by being creative and resourceful. You have to clear paths so your main character, Hiro, could escape. You can break down obstacles, change your positions, and do more.

In the storyline, Hiro’s family was put apart from each other because of a feudal war in 1467. He has to go past the guards to be able to save his family. Here, you have to use strategy to get past the guards. The game offers lots of thrilling moments, and you will enjoy this even if the graphics are not at par with the basic expectation of the times.

Override 2: Super Mech League

If you love robots, then you will enjoy the Mech league. Here, you will pilot a robot and fight a new breed of Xenotypes. You can join a club and lead them, too. The game allows you to fight in the single-player or multi-player mode.  As you beat many robots, you will earn a positive reputation in the Arenas. You can join co-op 4×4 multi-player games or just duke it out solo.
