Visage Lab PRO HD is an iPhone app developed by VicMan LLC. This excellent tool is like a magic wand that makes your existing photographs look like they’ve been professionally retouched.
Visage Lab PRO HD is capable of completely transforming your photographs in just seconds. Automatically, this helpful app will reduce the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles, tamp down any shiny or oil areas on your skin, whiten teeth, clear up red eye, add slight makeup and color boosting, and just generally make your portraits look more attractive.
Best of all, Visage Lab makes all of these minor touches to your photos with making you sit through ads, and without slapping a watermark across your images. However, there are a few caveats you should be aware of before you download.
Visage Lab PRO HD is, at its heart, a face-recognition program. Unfortunately, that means that this app has some strict parameters about what types of photographs will work.
If you try and use Visage Lab PRO HD with a photograph that is of a low quality, or features a subject who doesn’t look perfectly straight ahead, the app will not even attempt to clean up the image. If there are other figures in the photo, or if part of your face is cut off, this app will not be able to do its job.
After retouching, you can apply a variety of hipster filters. These include B&W, vintage postcard, multi-colored triptych, and pen & ink. The retouching and filters do take a little while to take effect, but it’s worth the wait.
You may be frustrated with some of your early attempts. For best results, take your photos under natural light, and avoid low-light situations. Pics taken under low light look grainy, and don’t give you the best originals to work from in Visage Lab PRO HD.
The Visage Lab app comes in three main flavors: Pro, PRO HD and Free. If you want to see what the app is capable of before shelling out a couple of bucks, try the Free version first!
However, given how well the Pro version worked, I’m pretty confident in recommending the Pro version to anyone who want to take their photos to the next level. Just be prepared to experiment with multiple headshots for best results.
