Xiaomi Mi6

Xiaomi Mi6 has been rumoured upon to release with the Snapdragon 821 and a Snapdragon 835 processor. The Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant Xiaomi would want to outdo its main competitors, Samsung and Apple, with their latest product release, the Xiaomi Mi6 for the year of 2017.

Rumours? Leak of screenshot confirms what to expect from the device.
Speculations of the device have rumoured across the internet for a solid few months now, with none showing concrete evidence. However, a screenshot of the specifications for the Xiaomi Mi6 has surfaced online and indicate that the smartphone will include insane specifications of 6GB RAM and up to a massive 256GB internal storage. The screenshot also uncovers that the processor is running at a speed of 2.70GHz.

According to analysis, the stock clock speed of the Kryo 280 processor found in the Snapdragon 835 is 2.45GHz for the quad-core processor, therefore a hop to a 2.70GHz processing speed is a magnificent feat. The device also seems to be running on the latest Android, Android Nougat 7.0. In addition, according to previous product releases, Xiaomi’s devices normally come with a microSD Slot enhancing the data saving capabilities of the device. For Xiaomi to make such drastic improvements can be too good to be true.

However, if true, are the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi6 an overkill?
Yes and no! For some it may come off like Xiaomi may be trying too hard to compete with Samsung and Apple devices by outdoing themselves, however the insane specification, if to be true, is a great indication in what direction smartphones should be heading. Therefore, Xiaomi may have outdone themselves on this one, but it is a step in the right direction to finally change the standard of what smartphone devices are capable of. Samsung and Apple will definitely be keeping an eye out as well, which hopefully pushes them to work harder on their own coming product releases.
