Apple celebrated the ten billion application downloads by handing the downloader of that app a $10,000 iTunes gift card. Now, the Cupertino based company is planning a similar giveaway to celebrate 25 billion app downloads. A new counter has appeared on Apple’s official web site alongside the following text:
As of today, nearly 25 billion apps have been downloaded worldwide. Which is almost as amazing as the apps themselves. So we want to say thanks. Download the 25 billionth app, and you could win a US $10,000 App Store Gift Card. Just visit the App Store and download your best app yet.
There are two ways to land the $10,000 prize. You can a.) download the crowning app or b.) submit this entry form after the 24,999,999,999th app is sold to win the ten grand.
