Owlchemy Labs” satirical illegal immigration game, Smuggle Truck, was rejected from the App Store after it failed to pass Apple”s approval process. The controversial game had players hauling Mexican refugees into the United States on the back of a truck.

According to Owlchemy Labs, Smuggle Truck “was inspired by the frustration our friends have experienced in trying to immigrate to the United States. With such a troublesome issue being largely avoided in popular media, especially video games, we felt the best way to criticize it was with an interactive satire.”

Apparently some people found casino pa natet this offensive.

But, like the illegal immigrants who inspired them, Owlchemy Labs did not give up on making it into a place that didn”t really want them. Their solution was to change the Mexicans into cute little animals, renamed the game Snuggle Truck, and resubmit it. Owlchemy”s Alex Schwartz says, “Snuggle Truck will feature a group of cuddly creatures escaping the wilderness for the comfort of a zoo, where they are provided plenty of food, shelter, and state of the art healthcare.” The new game (that was still basically the old game) was immediately approved.

Snuggle Struck features art by Curse of Monkey Island artist Bill Tiller and is available now.
