Apple has repeatedly sued Samsung for a number of supposed patent infringements, multiple law suits have been filed in both U.S courts and courts overseas.  On Wednesday, Dutch courts have come to a decision, and ruled against Apple in one of the many Apple vs. Samsung cases. It has been ruled that Apple has infringed on a Samsung patent and Apple has been ordered to pay an unspecified amount of damages.

“The court orders that the defendant pay Samsung for the damages it suffered since August 4, 2010 as the result of an infringement on (patent) EP 269,”

Samsung’s spokeswoman in the Netherlands stated “Today’s ruling confirms that Apple was freeriding on our technological innovation,” she added “For us it is a victory.”

Recently Apple dropped an attempted injunction against the South Korean company for fear of postponing future patent- infringement related court dates.
