Despite HTC’s recent launch of the HTC One being plagued by stock shortages, HTC are soldiering on and have announced the Desire 600, an update to their previously used Desire product name.
The Desire 600 has some of the features found on the more premium HTC One, such as Beats Audio integration which enhance the BoomSound speakers found on the Desire 600, together with the same Sense 5.0 software that brings Blinkfeed to your homescreen – a Flipboard like experience for news at a glance.

The HTC Desire 600 dual sim combines speed and easy multitasking with the truly innovative HTC BlinkFeed home screen. The result is an affordable mid-range phone that sets the standard for its class, keeping the busiest user up-to-date at a glance and offering them the power and range of features to switch between work and play.

The HTC Desire 600 sports a 4.5-inch LCD2 display with qHD resolution which is 540 x 960 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor and is equipped with 1GB of RAM and a 1860 mAh batter, which can be used to stream 15-20 hours of music on a single charge (allegedly). In addition, the Desire 600 has a 1.6 Megapixel front facing camera, as well as a 8 Megapixel rear camera with 720p video capture. As mentioned, the device will run Sense 5 on top of Android Jelly Bean.
Being aimed at the Eastern European market such as Ukraine and Russia, together with the Middle-East, the HTC Desire 600 comes with a dual SIM, which is a popular feature of devices released in that part of the world.
It’s not yet known if the Desire 600 will make it across the sea into the US, but will be made available through the carriers and retailers in the respective Eastern European countries from early June 2013. Pricing has yet to be announced.
