Motorola RAZR

Motorola RAZR

While many users might be excited about getting their new iPhones or even awaiting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, there are certainly many other great smartphones to look forward to in the near future. One of these devices is the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, or the Motorola RAZR HD- depending on where you live.

The Motorola RAZR HD not only has a sexy design and impressive specs, it is the new flagship device from Motorola. Currently it has yet to launch in the United States, but the time is coming soon. According to the buzz on the net, the Motorola RAZR HD could arrive as early as October 18th on the Verizon Network.

For those in Canada, the device has is available exclusively through Rogers Wireless as of today. Best of all, it is only $99.99 with a 3-year contract. Unfortunately, it is much more expensive for those that like to buy unlocked devices with no commitment, at a staggering $699.

What makes the Motorola RAZR HD worthwhile?

For one thing, it has exceptional battery life. The RAZR HD has good battery, but the MAXX (which is only coming to the US it sounds like) has CRAZY battery performance. Motorola claims it can do up to 32 hours, and about 13 hours with intense video viewing. Not sure what they are testing with the 32 hours, but even 13 is pretty impressive.
Then there is the overall specs, which aren’t bad at all. Let’s take a look:

  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • 67.9mm x 131.9mm x 8.4mm
  • 146g weight
  • 2530 mAh battery
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • USB 2.0 HS, HDMI, 3.55mm jack
  • 8 MP back cam with LED flash, 1.3MP front cam
  • 1GB of RAM
  • GPS
  • 802.11a/b/g/n with mobile hotspot up to 8 connections

What do you think? Does the Motorola RAZR HD sound like something you’d be interested in, or you perfectly happy with that new iPhone 5 or with waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet to hit North America?
