Targeted towards kids, Movie Food Maker FREE is also appealing to many adults. There’s just one downside: you might get really hungry while looking at these virtual foods. You can decorate 15 different types of popcorn bags with fun stickers, or dress up a virtual hot dog just the way you’d like to eat it in real life.
You can also make virtual nachos, fries, soda, milkshakes, and more. When blending milkshakes, you can add more than 25 different toppings and combo items to your unique creation.
Making virtual food not really your thing? If you find that aspect of the game boring, there’s another game in this app you might enjoy. It’s called the Combo Challenge: your goal is to see how many trays you can make in 30 seconds. The makers of Movie Food Maker FREE even encourage players to “cheat” by liking them on Facebook in order to get an extra 15 seconds on the game clock.
The controls are very simple to use, and the whole app appears to be quite kid-friendly. Some parents have written in user reviews that they let their kids plays this game before the movies, in lieu of spending a ton of money on over-priced movie theater popcorn, soda, and candy. It’s a good idea, but your mileage may vary depending on how rambunctious your kids are.
While some of the banner ads and in-game menus get in the way of gameplay, and there are some long wait times during gameplay, this is a cute game for kids. Do note, however, that removing ads or adding the full complement of food items will cost $19.99 across all of the various mini games.
