Nokia 6.1 to release in US

Nokia 6 is the phone that will help the brand garner the likes of its predecessor. HMD Global’s Nokia unveiled a slew of devices earlier this year. However, the Nokia 6 is one of the most interesting phone.

I’ll say it right out, the price of the device is just perfect. The device has been released in India and few other markets already. In India, the device costs Rs. 17,999, however, the pricing of the device in the US hasn’t been revealed yet. In the States, the approximated price would be between $279 and $299 which is decent.

On the front, the device sports a 5.5 inch Full-HD display, however, accompanied with huge bezels (notch-haters will like it). The display on the 2017 Nokia 6 was pretty great and it should be the same with this year’s release too.

Under the hood, the device runs on Snapdragon 630 chip, a huge improvement over the Snapdragon 430 chip used on the previous generation. Users will have the option to choose between 3GB and 4GB of RAM which would give 32GB or 64GB of internal storage respectively.

On the back, the phone sports a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture; there’s an LED flash too (for the fact-head). The 2017 Nokia 6 was criticized for its bad camera quality, more specifically, the muted colours its images would show. It’s yet to be seen how this year’s hero will do in the camera department.

If you’ve been following Nokia for sometime now, you would know that the company is packing all its devices with Android One. It’s the same case this year, all of its devices run on Google’s stock android. This is a huge advantage as the device would be receiving updates quickly and for a longer period of time.

The Nokia 6 packs a 3,000mAh battery which is not exactly great but should last till the end of the day. Also, it supports wireless charging, not a niche feature anymore but a good-to-see feature. To top it off, the Nokia 6 is built with Series 6000 aluminium body, just like the old Nokia, this one’s tought too.
