The question of how Playboy is going to beat official iOS App Store policies to appear in full on the iPad has been solved.

While Steve Jobs hasn’t softened his stance on App Store pornography, Hugh Hefner’s developmental team has designed an optimised website so its content will work on the iPad.

i.Playboy.com plans go live precisely one week from today, May 18.  Site usage will require a $8 monthly subscription for complete access to Playboy’s digital library.

Hefner tweeted just last week that the Playboy was coming “complete and uncensored” to the iPad May 18th, leading to plenty of speculation as to whether Apple was going to admit such an application into the iOS App Store.

Even though some reports suggest that a potential full app is in the works, fans of stunning models and unconventional editorials will have to be content with the iPad optimized website for now.
