With 10 different image filtering modes (including Inverted Black and White (Grayscale), Red Channel Only, and Normal), there are huge advantages to picking up See It – Video Magnifier if you’re in need of some help with reading text on your iPhone.
See It is currently the world’s only portable CCTV video magnifier that works with your iPhone and iPad. And considering the fact that a handheld, portable CCTV can cost a few hundred dollars, this is the same great service for a fraction of the price.
The iPhone app streams video from the camera in your device, and then lets you zoom in and out. You can also apply one of the many available filters to better display the image and/or text you’re trying to view. Image still not perfectly sharp? The developers suggests turning on the built-in light in your device to improve the contrast.
Even if you’re not visually impaired, See It – Video Magnifier can help you to read very small text with ease, or simply reduce eye strain caused by too many hours of studying or reviewing important reports and documents at the office.
We’re not usually passionate about apps that cost more than two bucks, but this is a notable exception. Four bucks might seem like a lot of cash, but if you really need help seeing the world around you (and don’t want to be burdened by an additional cumbersome device in your pocket), then there’s not a single reason why you shouldn’t have this iPhone app in your collection.
