Apple announced several remarkable App Store statistics via a press release that went live early yesterday. Not only has the iOS App Store reached 15 billion downloads, more than 425,000 applications have been approved by Apple. 100,000 of those are native iPad applications that are available in nearly one hundred different countries.
In just three years, the revolutionary App Store has grown to become the most exciting and successful software marketplace the world has ever seen. Thank you to all of our amazing developers who have filled it with over 425,000 of the coolest apps and to our over 200 million iOS users for surpassing 15 billion downloads.
Apple was sure to reiterate the $2.5 billion generated for iOS App Store developers.
