CNN has just released the new CNN App for iPad, a real-time news delivery service which is now available as a free download on the App Store.
The new CNN app delivers live updates and breaking news, in-depth features and video as well as live-streams of major news events. “This app harnesses the best of what the iPad offers by leveraging striking photos and videos; elegant, multi-touch navigation; and the ability to share content with your friends via social media,” said KC Estenson, Senior VP and general manager of CNN.com.
The CNN App for iPad is truly socially integrated, with users able to share stories from within the app via Facebook, Twitter and email as well as a prominent article commenting system.
The app offers users three different viewing options, with a traditional Broadsheet (default) set-up with stories and images arranged in grid-format, a List View of running headlines sorted by category, or you can opt for a visual presentation of the day’s top headlines in Slideshow mode.
