Recently, it has been reported that Nokia has been making major steps forward in the smartphone industry by announcing it’s release of the Nokia 6, along with Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9. However, the price and release date of the smartphone device has been rumored, until now.
Clove has confirmed that the Nokia 6 will come at a price of £230 (approximately $298) which is the most expensive out of the 4 handsets that are soon to be released. The availability of the device will come on the 30th of June for UK consumers.
The Nokia 6 is believed to be launched with the latest Android OS, Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the device hauling a 5.5 Inch FHD display screen, a Snapdragon 430 chipset. In addition, the Nokia 6 will sport internal memory of up to 32GB storage, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear facing primary camera, an 8-megapixel front facing secondary camera.
For a new device launch with the specifications, the Nokia 6 is coming at, it is a reasonable price for Nokia to go with. However, is it enough to compete with the current smartphone giants Apple and Samsung? Probably not.
Although it may not be that high-end of a device, it is still a smartphone that will surely make huge waves in South East Asian countries. This is due to the fact that Nokia is a massive brand name, along with the reasonable price of the Nokia 6, it will be a major hit. However, it is still unknown when the device will release in India and the subcontinent. Therefore consumers need to be a little patient as it will only take a few more weeks until all the release dates are announced.
