Ever since the release of the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro in October of 2016, the phablet (phone + tablet) has been deemed a success by the amount of units it has already sold. Especially making major waves in South Asian regions such as India. According to reports, a new variant of the device has been spotted on TENNA.
TENAA is a telecommunications equipment certification centre in China, and smartphone devices have to register their model numbers and device details onto the database for legal reasons. The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has been spotted in a listing with the model number SM-C9008 showing details of a 128 GB internal memory, which is twice the storage found on the market right now.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro initially released with a maximum internal storage variant of 64 GB. However, with this recent spotting, a 128 GB Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro might be in the works and ready to release. Samsung has yet to comment on the news and still haven’t announced whether or not the public will be able to buy the device.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro sports a ginormous 6 inch Full HD super AMOLED screen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset, 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (soon to feature a 128 GB variant), up to 256 GB of expandable memory via microSD slot, a 16MP camera on both the front, and back of the device. The device also features Dual SIM functionality and a massive 4000 mAh battery.
The TENAA listing did not detail when or at what price the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro may release. Therefore, for consumers interested in the phablet-like smartphone device, it may still be a while till the official Samsung announcement and release.
