Prior to the launch of the iPhone 4S and the resulting disappointment that a redesigned iPhone 5 had not eventuated, most circulating rumors seemed to point towards a ‘teardrop’ form factor with a larger screen.

Citing a ‘reliable source’ iLounge claims that the iPhone 5 is indeed coming, and will indeed carry a 4-inch display (an increase of 0.5 inches on the iPhone 4/4S) as well as being 8mm longer, but will not feature the rumored curved design.

Apple is apparently targeting a summer launch for the next-generation iPhone, which ties in with the latest rumors of a similar release date for the iPad 3.
