Published by JDea Co, PiggyWoogy TM is a bright and colorful arcade-style match-3 title with an interesting twist.
Its Piggy the pig vs Woogy the wolf in this iPhone game that features typical Bejeweled-style gem-matching gameplay. There are 100 levels in total split across a number of unique castles, each more challenging than the last.
While you have to match three jewels to rack up points, you also need to ‘catch’ the wolves as they climb up a column of gems. This is done by creating a match that includes a gem with a wolf on it. Each time you fail to catch a wolf before he reaches the top you lose a life – lose all your lives and its game over.
Each level has an objective which usually involves catching a certain number of wolves, but you can only really score big points by madly trying to match jewels as well as catch wolves. You’ve got to be strategic though – its often wise to ‘leave’ a match that will allow you to catch one of the wolves as he climbs higher up.
If things start getting tough there are a number of special tools at your disposal, including oil slick, freeze, and another which does a total refresh on all gems – taking any pesky wolves with it.
If you complete all the levels in one stage then you unlock the Infinite mode which really tests your skills. PiggyWoogy TM is also fully GameCenter enabled with leaderboards and 40 achievements, extending the replay value of this already fun title.
