Windows 10 beta testers can transform Cortana into a DJ

Windows 10 beta testers are going to have the time of their lives as users move closer to the huge Anniversary Update that is going to arrive this summer. We already reported that there are numerous features that have been added with Build 14352, but perhaps the one that you’re going to love the most is having fun with Cortana.

According to The Windows blog post, with the latest build, you now have the ability to play absolutely any song from the entire Groove Music Catalog using the speech assistant. In short, you are effectively transforming Cortana into your very own personal DJ.  If you happen to possess Groove Music Pass, then all you have to do is ask Cortana to play your favorite artist, genre, playlist or song and the assistant will listen to requests immediately.

Windows 10 Beta Testers Advantage

One added advantage of this update is that this feature will also allow Cortana to play your favorite tunes on your Lock screen. You can commence this by calling out the following commands:

“Hey Cortana, play <song name>”
“Hey Cortana, play <artist>”
“Hey Cortana, play my <Groove playlist name>”
“Hey Cortana, pause”

We have to inform you that the Groove Catalog support has only been provided in the English language. Naturally, as future updates are released, more and more languages support will be released in the near future. Another thing to note here is that while more and more features are going to be added, this new builds are also accompanied with several bug fixes that have been intended to improve your overall Windows 10 experience. Let us hope that the same level of attention is provided to Microsoft’s Windows 10 OS, otherwise mobile users will definitely feel left out.
